I really haven't taken many photos this summer but we really have been having so much fun. It's gone by way too fast and we only have a few weeks left.
Braden went to Safety Town Camp for a week and its to prepare Kindergartners for school. They teach them all the aspects of safety, biking, crossing the street, strangers, fire, police, 911, etc. I had the pleasure of volunteering one day in his classroom and they had a lot of fun. Its held at the school where he'll attend Kindergarten so I hope it helped make it all less scary when he goes there this fall.
We've also gone back to local lakes that we love, Independence Lake with the Spray Zone that they've apparently outgrown. They pretty much want to be in the lake the entire time, who needs sprinklers anymore! Our favorite lake is Silver Lake, it gets less crowded and the swimming is great! A new place we discovered this year is Nixon pool and waterpark. Its much smaller than Rolling Hills and perfect for my kids. Braden goes on the waterslide by himself! And during the week of 100 degree weather it was the perfect place
Recently the kids attended Vacation Bible School at St. Mary and loved it. I loved it too because all afternoon they sang the songs while playing and it was super cute. They both embraced the lessons and messages which surprised me since I feel like I say the same thing over and over and still no results!! Both kids made up very sweet prayers to say at night too.
