One month into Kindergarten and school is going great, however the bus is a challenge. There seems to be some event, good or bad that happens on a near daily basis. Fights, girls, lost items, etc. When he gets off the bus I'm just waiting to hear what's happened or what's been forgotten.
The biggest issue was when he punched a kid in the nose. That kid had been picking on other kids for a long time, specifically picking on one of Braden's kindergarten buddies. So admirably Braden stuck up for his friend but in a totally wrong way. That boy got a bloody nose from the hit and his parents called the principal to report it.
Braden was called to the principals office and they had a discussion. Braden was upset that he had gotten into trouble and said he was not going to do it again. And happy to report he didn't!
Straight from fighting to girls though. He came home one day and told me about the girl he sits next to on the bus. He said he's in love with her and they've kissed on the cheek and here, as he points to his lips! It was all I could do not to laugh.
I think I'm happier with him kissing people than punching people but really its only a 15 minute bus ride, how hard is it to just sit and do nothing!
