Today was Braden's first day riding the bus to Kindergarten. They had an orientation day yesterday where parents got to stay. Today will be his first full day at Kindergarten and he's super excited to ride the bus. I feel pretty good about him going to school, I'm not going to cry like the other moms!
Meanwhile Addie and I hung out that day and I was a bit anxious for him to come home from school so I could assure he was all right. I got to the bus stop and waited until the bus came. The bus arrived, the kids got off and there was no Braden. The bus driver called around to all of the other buses and it took forever but eventually they found him on bus 54, his bus is 45 so he got the right numbers just wrong order!
I had to wait 45 more minutes and then pick him up at the bus garage once the bus was done with its route. Finally at 4:20 he arrived at the bus garage and I was so happy to see him. He was smiling when he got off the bus and he was holding his stuffed monkey that he took with him. He had a large wet spot on the front of his pants though. Apparently he peed his pants after that long on the bus!
But he was in a great mood and was not at all phased by getting on the wrong bus (or that he peed his pants). He said he had a great day so I was relieved but phew, that was a long wait for him to get home from school!!
