This past Labor Day weekend was lots of fun. We headed up to Torch Lake to join Nanie and Grampa, Uncle Ben, Aunt Colleen, Anna and Mason. The kids had so much fun, Anna is old enough now that the three cousins play together and its super cute to watch them. Addison and Anna are quite a pair of princesses, dressing up like Belle and Snow White. The weather was cold, rainy and gray for almost all of the weekend so we rented a room at Grand Traverse Resort and went up there to enjoy the indoor water park. The kids spent all afternoon Sunday and Monday swimming. The indoor pool was shallow and perfect for kids, plus they loved the “hot pool” which was the hot tub. On the other side was a huge green water slide, basketball hoops in the water and a ropes/balancing course that both kids and the adults enjoyed. Ben and I ventured onto the water slide but decided it was not kid friendly for the young ones. It was an enclosed pitch black tunnel with water spraying your face and you go super fast plunging into the pool at the end with a gush of water up your nose and your bathing suit displaced!
Overall we are all very tired from two days of swimming but incredibly happy with our family fun weekend minus a few crabby moments.
