Braden's 1st Day of School

This is Braden's third year of preschool, he's attending 4 days a week and will learn a lot this year, its a lot less playing with toys and a lot more learning through play.

He was a bit nervous about going into the classroom but then the teacher started talking to him and so I gave him a wave and left. When I came to pick him up he said "Mom, you were right, it was fun and I met new boyfriends, we crashed bikes on the playground" I guess that's how boys form friendships but either way its great that he like school and that he's met some friends since he'll be going to kindergarten with a lot of these kids. It just so happens that the boys he met will be five in December so only 6 months younger than him which is not a big deal.

I feel a whole lot more confident in my decision to hold him back from kindergarten, his anxiety would've been too much and the pressure to keep up would've been overwhelming.

Also, today he had hockey and did great, getting off the ice he says "I love my hockey team, they are awesome" So he's feeling pretty confident which is just what he needs right now.
