We went to two different zoos with our membership. We went to Potter Park zoo in Lansing, which is where I went as a child and parts of it are still the same! Its a small zoo so it was perfect for a short trip. Kids loved it, especially the lizards and snakes and of course my favorite, the monkeys!
We also went to Toledo Zoo and spent an entire day there! We had so much fun and there was so much to see that we didn't even get to it all. The favorite of the kids was the orangutans. They were hilarious, the young ones were throwing towels and shredded paper at each other. The older ones were covered in blankets and taking naps which was really cute to watch.
There was a holiday train display that fascinated Braden and as we left the zoo it was dark so we enjoyed the holiday light show.
A few of us moms took our daughters to see the Nutcracker ballet. The girls were all young between 3 and 5 years old but they all sat through the entire performance and loved it. Its one of my favorite performances to watch so I was excited to take Addison and happy that she wasn't too young to appreciate it too! We went to Common Grill for lunch before the ballet so it was a true Mom/Daughter Day!
