Christmas Fun

Addison and I attended Braden's holiday preschool party and he was so proud to show us around his classroom. He directed Addie to all of the different stations to do crafts, games and to decorate cookies. He was an awesome big brother. Later, after we ate cookies the kids presented the parents the cards and wrapped gifts that they had made. Braden was so excited that he opened it for me and showed me the ornament he'd made. Braden doesn't quite understand about giving gifts. He made sure he wrapped the gift back up himself and when we got home he put it with all of his other special things. It's innocent but someday he will learn that the gifts he gives, he doesn't get to keep!

Of course we had to take the annual Christmas photo of the kids on the zebra rocking "horse." It gets easier every year in comparison to those earlier impossible years! I imagine there will be some years in the future when we'll get even more resistance, like when Braden is 18 and I ask him to sit on a toddler size zebra rocker.

Not much explanation is needed, Christmas Eve was so much fun as was Christmas Day. I love to watch the kids get excited about their gifts and having the family over for all of it is great. I know it won't always be this way so I'm enjoying these simple years while I can!
