Recently Addie had two days in a row where she got creative and made giant messes. One day when she was supposed to be napping she quietly escaped her room and went to my bathroom. She found a chapstick, a tub of Vaseline, and toothpaste and proceeded to decorate herself with all of it. By the time I found her I couldn't see part of her face it was so smothered in vaseline and toothpaste. She told me she was washing herself so that meant she had successfully rubbed in the entire tub of vaseline and tube of toothpaste into her hair and skin.
It took several showers and two days for all that vaseline to be 100% out of her hair. The very next day after that incident, Brian and I were trying to sleep in on a Saturday. We awoke very early to Addie's voice calling "help Daddy, help Daddy." Brian went looking for her and she was in the kids bathroom. I heard her saying to him "I'm stuck on the table, help." What she meant was she had used a stool and the toilet to climb onto the counter and now didn't know how she'd get down. She had also gotten hold of a dry erase marker and colored the mirror, the towels, the counter and herself, pajamas and skin. Apparently, she tried to clean it all up by taking every baby wipe out of the container. I really wish now I had taken a picture, she looked so funny, her skin was blue and green stripes everywhere and she was standing in a sea of wipes. At that time though I was just about getting it all cleaned up!
Since then we have put a gate up in her doorway and rigged the doorknob with jingle bells so hopefully we'll have early notice that her door is open and our little "artist" is on the loose.
One of Addie's favorite things to do is to dress up (Braden enjoys it too) and she really takes her time creating her outfits which are very strange. The cute thing is she thinks her outfits look great and dances around in them. Here's some of their latest looks!

Just thought I'd throw this photo in of the kids at Nanie and Grampa's house where they enjoy swinging in the baby jumpers. I'm used to it now but anyone that comes over finds it so hilarious that these big kids are swinging around the doorway in baby johnny jump ups.
