Addie's 2nd Birthday

BIRTHDAY DIVA! Dressed up in her new gifts

Addie turned two with a fish themed birthday. Addison loves animals like I've never seen a child so in tune with animals. She wanted me to read her all books with animals and I made all the animal noises. A lot of books have fish so what was I to do with a fish noise so I found myself saying glug glug for the fish bubbles. It stuck and Addie started calling fish glug glugs so the birthday party with glug glugs seemed a perfect fit. But the funny thing is by the time we planned the party she had so quickly increased her vocabulary that she now called them fishies.

The party was fun, family came and wore fish t-shirts. The kids wore fish t-shirts that I had found in Naples when I had a luxurious girl weekend there in December! We didn't do a lot of gifts, the kids have too much so the highlight was the fish tank donated from Lindsay Dubbs and the fish that I bought that day to put into it.

Addie was thrilled with her fish and Braden loved them too so it was a great gift for everyone. I have since then wondered what I was thinking since of course its more work for me and I didn't need anymore work. But I like the fish too so its worth it overall.

We played a fishing game, played tropical music, and ate a fish cake with "bubble" cupcakes. Braden assisted again this year with eating Addie's cake, he even got himself a stomachache he ate so much!
